Opened in 1964, resources at Capitol Library include popular fiction and mysteries, videos, audio books and CDs, and business resources such as Value Line and Morningstar. This neighborhood library serves thousands of people and circulates over 350,000 items per year. The library also offers WiFi and laptops for in-library use.

Samuel Morse Middle School for the Gifted & Talented

Milwaukee Public School, coed grades 8-12, Samuel Morse has gotten the U.S Blue Ribbon Award Every year since 1997 – 2006 and 2008. Enrollment is based on academic performance, creative thinking, problem-solving, leadership and fine arts abilities. No other middle school or K8 offers: Advanced Placement Math; Math, science and language arts Scholars Classes; Advanced Classes in Art and Dance; and a Foreign Language requirement in Grades 6-8 to enhance high school language placement.
